The idea and concept of The Metal Fork has been brewing for some time. It all began when I started a part-time job working at a local cooking store. It was meant to be sort of a fun gig, a few hours a week doing retail work and assisting with cooking classes. Cooking is a passion of mine, and it seemed a good idea at the outset to make a little extra spending money (operative word here = LITTLE) while learning more about various cooking techniques.
It quickly became clear that there was much more to this part-time job. It provided fodder for stories, material for sarcastic humor, but certainly not much extra spending money! I began to ponder ways in which I could share this material, as well as integrate the stories with my love of cooking, and The Metal Fork concept began to take shape.
This site is meant to be a place to integrate and share recipes, cooking, and creative writing. This is the early development stage, and my first foray into blogging. Modifications and improvements will continue!
